It could invest between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, he said. An analyst on condition of anonymity said that the reason for the company to opt for a buyback was ‘illogical and beyond comprehension’. Reliance Energy looks expensive: Dhawan (CNBC TV18, Moneycontrol.com 9th Jan 2008)Sajiv Dhawan of JV Capital Services is of the view that Reliance Energy is looking expensive. Dhawan told CNBC-TV18, "Reliance Energy looks expensive. If it even slips 10% you’d see buying interest. I remember just a few months ago, we were recommending it at Rs 800. The target has been smashed by almost 4 times. There still is enough retail and investor appetite at current levels. So valuations may be slightly justified if you are taking a very long-term call. But on the short-term for sure the stock seems overpriced." More
